Parque Cívica Luis Carlos Galán Sarmiento

Centro Cultural del Oriente Colombiano

 

The Centro Cultural del Oriente in the heart of Bucaramanga, this is a treasure trove of republican architecture in which are highlighted underground chambers, arches, columns, gardens and small squares. The building was designed by the priest Santiago Páramo Ortiz and had two constructive stages. The first stage began in 1898, but work was suspended because of the Thousand Day War (1899 - 1903). The place was declared a National Monument in 1995.

 

Teatro Santander
